Florida’s 2009 Crash Statistics are now available
June 29, 2010 | in The Daily DriveCongratulations Florida – the 2009 Crash Statistics have been released and it is apparent the efforts of law enforcement and companies like DefensiveDriving.com with our Florida traffic school are helping to make the state’s roadways safer.
The numbers in all the critical categories show marked improvement across the board with fewer fatalities.
Some interesting statistics, the two leading causes of accidents, whether property damage or fatalities, were due to careless driving and failure to yield the right of way. Yielding, knowing who has the right of way and then giving right a way, are fundamental driving skills. Sounds like more people could use this video from our Florida Traffic Ticket School, Florida Wheels in Motion.
This State Approved Defensive Driving course will help with discounts for auto insurance, help you dismiss a traffic ticket in Florida but most importantly, it will help you not become a statistic by showing you the proper way to yield.
