Boating and Driver Safety
January 11, 2011 | in Driver Safety For You & Your Family
I recently read a report about a boater whose boat capsized in the Gulf of Mexico. The owner of the boat originated from Florida and like many Florida boaters- never took a boating driver safety course. The owner commented:
“I suspect it’s an attitude similar to people who don’t wear helmets on their motorcycles”, a statement similar to those who don’t wear seat belts.
Nearly 90 percent of boaters involved in accidents between 2004 and 2009 never have taken a boating safety course in Florida. Compare that to the number of vehicles on the road and you have a very scary statistic for those who have never completed a Florida state traffic school.
Traffic school attendance is not only designed for those with citations, but provides important, up-to-date education on traffic laws and rules that may have changed since one initially received a license to drive. Like driver safety for boaters, a Florida State Traffic School reminds drivers of important basic habits of being a driver and what happens when we don’t employ safe driving behaviors.
Our online Florida traffic school course offers life saving information and is approved by the State of Florida for completion as a Basic Driver Improvement course. It’s convenient for all! Our students never have to start over if they need to log out of the course. You always pick up where you left off.
More importantly, our program is one of the most affordable course providers. There are no hidden fees. Sound, videos, Certificate of Completion, and DMV reporting are all built into course price. Here is sample content depicting the video quality:
