Florida Teens Are “Whiting Out” Teen Crashes

To promote awareness about National Teen Driver Safety Week, students and law enforcement spoke in front of Fort Myers High School stressing the importance of distracted driving. Fellow students urged their classmates to pay attention to the road by turning off the phones, turning down their radios or not answering phone calls while driving in the car.
Florida Highway Patrol says automobile accidents are the number one killer of teens in Florida, with 153 teen deaths last year due to traffic crashes.
